A special thanks to Jim Daly, owner of Saltire Printing for donating his time and material so that we could have a proper walk shirt. We supplied the shirts and art work and Jim turned them into the fantastic shirts you see here. Please support him the next time you have printing needs.

Walk Instructions
The following is all you’ll need to know to join us on Sunday’s JDRF walk... If you’ve walked with us in the past please take note of the location change.
JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes
DATE: Sunday, October 26
TIME: Walk begins at 10 am sharp
PLACE: Bucks County Community College
275 Swamp Road
Newtown, PA 18940
Rain or shine. I’m expecting the weather to be great! Expect a sunny morning with temperatures in the mid 50s.
The walk is 3 miles long. There are cut through paths available to shorten the distance if necessary. It lasts about an hour.
Please arrive by 9:30 am at the latest so that we have time to get organized and get everyone their shirts. Please plan for there to be a line of traffic getting into the parking area. Arriving at 9:15 is suggested.
We’ll gather in the parking area at my vehicle.
You can use the Google Map below to get directions.
See you then!
Alberta Diabetes Foundation
We were contacted by the Alberta Diabetes Foundation a few months ago. Arden will be helping them with some fundraising later this year by lending some of her videos and photographs to their efforts. I also made them this short video.
We look forward to helping them any way we can, they have a fantastic organization and if you live in Canada please consider lending them your support! Alberta Diabetes Foundation
Diabetes and Dentistry
Arden has a couple of cavities, apparently she isn’t getting enough fluoride in her diet. So we went to the dentist. Because of Arden’s diabetes the dentist will have to admit her into the hospital to do her dental work. She will have to be put to sleep, hooked to monitors to watch her blood glucose and given an I.V. to administer glucose into her system if she experiences low blood glucose during the procedure.
If she wasn’t diabetic the work would be performed in his office. I’ll keep you posted on her progress.
